Carinus The Great

Carinus Dagolitus (12 July 759 AD – November 15th 820 AD) was a medieval king and emperor of the Dagosomo kingdom and later the Carinian Empire. As prince, Carinus would lead the defence of Dagasomo against northern raider kingdoms, Carinus lead the armies of Dagasomo to conquering vast swaths of lands as king and subsequently declared himself emperor of the Carinian Empire from -- AD until his death in 720 AD due to tuberculosis. He played a critical role in the demise of many empires and inadvertently would cause the rise of the Reveish Empire after his death would leave an opening to conquer former Carinian lands.

Carinus was an accomplished governor, author, historian and an expert general; much of his life is known from his own accounts of his military campaigns. Other contemporary sources include the letters and speeches of his son Prince Regis and accounts from the Celtic kings of whom were great friends with Carinus. Later accounts of his conquests by Northern kingdoms and even Artisian soldiers would proclaim the ferocity of his attacks and the complexity of his tactics. Carinus is considered by many historians to be one of the greatest military commanders in history.

His name, having been spread to many continents through fables of his conquests, would go on to become the name for the Continent he originated from, that being Carinidal, an exonym for "the land of Carinus"
