Formation of Old Salönias
After the formation of Saqalona in 457CE The three main tribes, Saqe Rjillon, Lanro and Molnt created what was then called Saqe Lona Lönias (meaning Tribe Union Language) by combining their tribe dialects. This was later shortened to Salönias and then later renamed to Old Salönias to differentiate it from the newer Salönias.Compound Words and Contractions
A defining feature of Salönias is that it heavily features compound words, most words in Salönias are compound words some even being made up of upwards of 4 words combined together. Due to this in colloqial Salönias speech contractions are often used in words, this often involves "collapsing" sections of the word between sections with similar sounds or letters.When writing Contractions an inverted Salönias comma is used to signify the area being contracted.
