Inspiration
The United Provinces of Andaharia (UPA) have a couple primary sources of inspiration: the United States military (Navy and Airforce, primarily) and Ireland's parliament.
The original founder, Illuminatious, put emphasis on its economic strength through free trade and its military might through a strong navy.
Canonically, the resulting UPA has a high population, GDP, and landmass area.
This lended itself to be a good "character" for the international struggle leading up to the Great War as a prominent world super power.
Current Player: Talathel
(I'm sure there's a player page I can create for myself somewhere else later on.)
To summarize for those who have been on the Prop Punk scene for a while and saw me come out of nowhere, I was initially introduced to game late December, 2023.
My introduction wasn't initially to play, but to help design and program a website for the Prop Punk economy.
Ultimately, I recommended against taking this path due to lack of a design document or any other rulebook.
I suggested spreadsheets would ultimately be better working documents to use while rules and systems are designed and worked out.
Sometime April, 2024, I was invited to play as a member of FSJN, and started learning the ropes of the game and Prop Punk world.
Around a month and half later, I was offered the chance to play UPA due to Illuminatious officially announcing his break from Prop Punk, due to real life obligations.
I was already pretty pro-Solair and had the insider connections to make me a prime choice.
My goals as a player are to make UPA and Solair the richest and most powerful country and alliance on Atera.
Likewise, I'd like to contribute tools and features to Prop Punk and help bug test new systems.
Founding
Before Andaharia was united, the region consisted of twenty-three duchies.
Lieutenant General William Green ultimately united the provinces of Andaharia under one banner.
A 24th region was allocated where Thessia was located (or built) and became the capitol of the new UPA.
UPA and Tul'haz had an escalating economic conflict, with Tul'haz somehow being allowed to blockade to the east of SFI.
This caused UPA to blockade the west side, leaving the Tul'haz ships cut off without fighting their way back.
After a PRU ship happened to sink near the Tul'haz blockade, UPA blamed Tul'haz, which inspired PRU to go to war with Tul'haz.
UPA quickly followed suit as an ally to the PRU.
However, this entire action seemed to also be coordinated by the Kingdom of Kassia.
Their vassal, Kingdom of Karlberg pushed a front deep into the newly joined Jea and Nocc, who became the FSJN.
This aggressive behavior needed to be punished, and UPA started its own land invasion into Kassia.
FSJN, UPA, and PRU would ally themselves against this ancient world super power as the Triumvirate Powers.
The war took a major turn into the Triumvirate Powers favor once the far off Tul'haz was defeated and all attention could be put on Kassia.
Likewise, FSJN stabilized and found a solid front Karlberg and Kassia could not seem to progress through.
After many years of fighting and grinding Kassia down, an internal coup overthrew the Kassia government.

The Great War
Though there were many aggressor parties, it all seems to start and end with UPA.UPA and Tul'haz had an escalating economic conflict, with Tul'haz somehow being allowed to blockade to the east of SFI.

Likewise, FSJN stabilized and found a solid front Karlberg and Kassia could not seem to progress through.
After many years of fighting and grinding Kassia down, an internal coup overthrew the Kassia government.
Unfortunately, this came too late as UPA dropped four nukes on the Kassian capitol only a few days after the coup was resolved.
Why no communications were made to Kassia's enemies, and the fronts continued to hold even after the coup successfully completed is still unknown.
It was a deadly reminder that this war was no game, and despite everyone's best efforts, civilian lives will always be on the line.
The war ended in Kassia's unconditional surrender not too long after that.
From the end of the Great War in 1947 to the start 1950, UPA was silent.
However, internally, UPA was facing a great internal threat.
The militaristic faction's leaders tried laying down the rules to its incumbent President Luke.
With the industrialist faction significantly weaker, following the Great War, Luke followed their rules temporarily.
However, they did not account for his alliance with FSJN's President Adler.
With coordination with FSJN intelligence, President Luke was able to arrest the militaristic faction's primary leaders, as well as many of its prominent party members.
With the playing field now leveled between both militaristic and industrialist factions, President Luke was officially elected President in 1950 and able to enact many industrialist policies.
This would be the last chance for Solair to stand united against a common enemy.
Though, with nuclear capabilities on both sides, UPA proposed a "gentleman's war", which would allow allies to proxy war through two nations, without needing to escalate to world ending weapons.
UPA was prepared to be the front, but FSJN volunteered due to their significant geographical advantage.

The Great Silence
To the rest of the world, UPA withdrew from much of international talks. From the end of the Great War in 1947 to the start 1950, UPA was silent.

Solair-Patalonia War
With a foreseen, imminent market crash, UPA organized all grievances its Solair allies had with Patalonia, following their protection of the Iron Works terrorists. This would be the last chance for Solair to stand united against a common enemy.
