Para

Para is the universal standard of value in Prop-Punk and is equivalent to 15 USD (2023). While in lore many nations all have their own currencies all in game transactions are made in Para.

Para is less akin to an actual currency (despite being used as such in game) rather it is an objective and unchanging standard of value. In this sense its similar to the gold standard but without any of the flaws that exist in the actual gold standard system.

Origins

In prop punk 1.0 the currency was in dollars however on the 9th of September 2023 at 4:34pm Invalid Crow sent a message in the #prop-punk-announcements channel that read:
"@everyone
Currency time choose one
1. Tupe (Tu-pay)
2. Denar (De-nar)
3. Para (Par-uh)
Pronunciation doesn't matter that much, if one sounds odd pronounce it how you want"
Later that day it was announced that Para won with 242 votes.

Exchange Issues

Originally it was announced by Iron0Fox that the Para to USD (2023) ratio would be 1:13 however due to wanting a simpler exchange rate ratio it was changed to 1:15.
